Configuring a Tiara 1400 Via the Console

The Tiara 1400 ships with a console cable. The console cable can be used with a computer (i.e. laptop) that contains a female DB-9 COM port. The communication port settings should be as follows:

• Baud: 9600
• Bits: 8
• Stop Bits: 1
• Parity: None

Configure Via Telnet

To configure from telnet you must know the IP address of one of the two Ethernet ports on the Tiara 1400. A default IP address is not noted in any of the documentation. Console access must be obtained before telnet access.

The Tiara 1400 comes with the following:

• RJ-45 console cable
• male DB-9 modular adapter
• female DB-9 modular adapter
