OpenROUTE GlobeTrotter 60

Routing with Proteon GlobeTrotter 60 for Dedicated Access Service

Setup Instructions

Configuring the OpenROUTE GlobeTrotter 60 Via the Console

Note: Connect the console port prior to powering up the router. Otherwise the router will not see that the console port is available for use.

To configure an OpenROUTE you must connect a console to the Console port of the router. A null modem adapter is provided. Connect the Null Modem to the Console cable provided and then to the serial port of a PC (or Mac with proper cables) with VT100 emulation software set at 9600, 8, none 1. If the router has not been preconfigured, it will run through an interactive script upon bootup.

Follow the configuration template.

Otherwise you can telnet into the box. We add a default acct of admin with the password letmein.

There are three main modes of operation that will be used while setting up the equipment.
