Routing with NetHopper for LAN-ISDN Service

What You Need

All NetHopper models that are certified for LAN-ISDN Service share the following features:

  • Included or optional internal 28.8K modems (V.34)
  • ISDN BRI interface with integrated NT-1
  • IP and IPX routing, separately or simultaneously
  • PPP, IPCP, IPXCP, PAP and CHAP protocols
  • Remote client access
  • Extensive IP and IPX packet filtering on all interfaces
  • One Ethernet Port (AUI or 10BaseT)

Included in the NetHopper Kit are the following:

  • NetHopper unit
  • Power supply unit
  • Power supply cable
  • Console cable (9 pin to 9 pin)
  • Adapter cable (9 pin to 25 pin)
  • Modem cable(s)
  • Documentation packet

You will need:

  • An ISDN BRI line

  • A DOS/Windows Based PC to edit the bootup disk

    OR

  • A VT-100 terminal emulator with an RS-232 port to connect as an out of band console.

  • An Ethernet cable to connect to your LAN. If you have a 10Base2 (BNC) network you will need an AUI to 10Base2 (BNC) transciever.

  • You must also have version 4.2 or newer of NetHopper Operating System:
