Routing with NetHopper for LAN-ISDN Service

IP Filtering on NH-BRI

To increase network security, the Nethopper provides extensive IP filtering capabilities. IP filtering provides a way to limit network access, that can be customized to meet specific network needs.

  • Specific packets that are allowed to be forwarded.

  • Specific packets that are excluded from the forwarding proccess.

  • Filtering by interface, frame type, source address, destination address, packet type, and traffic direction.

  • A no dial option that allows you to control the traffic that will cause the router to place outgoing phone calls.

  • A combination of the above.

To install filters:

Enter the filter set into your router and enable the filtering option.

  • Enter the filter set

    filter enable

  • The filters will now be active. To turn them off, type:

    filter disable

  • To remove the filters, type:

    filter flush
