Routing with the Livingston IRX 211 for Leased Line

Simple Network Monitoring Protocol (SNMP)

To configure your Livingston IRX-211 router to allow us to do SNMP monitoring you must set the community name of the router. We will then test to make sure we can poll your router.

To do this, issue the following commands at the prompt on the Livingston router.

set SNMP on
set SNMP readcommunity community-name
save all

The phrase "community-name" is the SNMP community name used to allow access to the router.
