Routing with the Intel Express 9100 Router for Leased Line

Software Upgrades

From time to time, the need arises to upgrade routers to the another revision of operating system software. To upgrade the Intel Express 9100 router:

First, download the latest certified version of OS from Intel Support to your tftp server.

From the Local Management menu, select Software Updates. The Software Update menu will be displayed.

From the Software Update menu, select Load Software. The Load Software window will appear.

Enter the IP address of the TFTP server and press enter. Next, enter the name of the OS software located on the TFTP server and press enter. Confirm the download process by typing 'Y' at the confirm prompt.

Once the software upload is complete, return to the Software Update menu.

Select Warm Reset to restart the router using the new code.

Once it restarts, select Approve Software then Cold Reset. The router will then reboot with the new code.
