Software Upgrade

From time to time the need arises to upgrade routers to the another revision of operating system software. To upgrade the Intel 8100 ISDN router:

First, download the latest certified version of OS from Intel Support to the Intel Device manager workstation. Place the Intel OS file in the Intel Device View directory, (for example, c:\router). This is where Device View searches for the router OS.

From the Configuration menu, select Software. The Router Software window will be displayed.

From the Router Software window, click on the Upgrade button. The Intel Router Upgrade Wizard window will appear.

Click Next, to continue the software upgrade process.

Edit the Upgrade Software and Upgrade file fields to reflect the correct version. You may use the browse option to locate the OS file.

After locating and selecting the proper file, click Next. A progress window will appear.

Once the upgrade is complete, click Finish.

After clicking finish, the Router Software window will reappear displaying the Active Software and the Backup Software.
