Appendix B: OnRamp RAM Files

The OnRamp RAM file system contains the following files:

init.net Default configuration file

init.dev Device initialization parameters, not configurable

config.net Customized configuration

panel.cmd List of commands available at the OnRamp front panel

ftpusers List of authorized ftp users

All of these files except ftpusers contain onramp commands or comments, where comments are lines that start with #. For the ftpusers file format and description, see Using and Changing OnRamp Passwords in Chapter 8.

The init.net File

This file contains the commands that configure the OnRamp factory defaults. To restore OnRamp to its factory default configuration, follow the procedure in Restoring Factory Defaults in Chapter 6.

The init.dev File

This file is created at the factory to establish the OnRamp's low-level hardware configuration. It cannot be modified or saved to flash memory.

The config.net File

OnRamp creates this file the first time you save the configuration (see Saving the Configuration in Chapter 3). You can also load this file onto OnRamp via ftp. Each time you execute the flash command or select OK from the Configuration Save Menu, this file is copied to OnRamp's flash memory.

The panel.cmd File

This file controls what menus OnRamp displays on the front panel LCD. For example, you can delete this menu:

password:

show? no yes

by removing the panel password command from the panel.cmd file. Each time you execute the flash command or select OK from the Configuration Save Menu, the panel.cmd file is copied to OnRamp's flash memory.
