Cisco RoutersRouting with Cisco 2500 and 1000 Series for LAN-ISDN Service ConfigurationTo configure a Cisco you must connect a console to the Console port of the router. An RJ45 rolled cable is provided as well as an RJ45 to DB-9 connector. Connect the RJ45 to the Console port of the Cisco and the DB 9 to a PC (or Mac with proper cables) with VT100 emulation software. 9600, 8, none 1. If the router has not been preconfigured, it will run through an interactive script upon bootup. Follow the links to the appropriate configuration template shown below. You can also use our online Router Configuration Builder to build your configuration. Otherwise you can telnet into the box.
