Changing the Dial Up Number

To change the number the Ascend is dialing into go to Configure off of the Main Edit Menu.

The Configure Menu should look like this:

 Press Ctrl-n to move cursor to the next menu item. Press return to select it.
 Press Tab to move to another window --- thick border indicates active window.

Arrow down to Dial #= and hit [return].

 Press Ctrl-n to move cursor to the next menu item. Press return to select it.

Type in the new number and hit [return].
Then arrow down to the bottom of that same menu and hit [return] on save=.

 Press Ctrl-n to move cursor to the next menu item. Press return to select it.
 Press Tab to move to another window --- thick border indicates active window.

It should say Profile Stored.

Forcing the Ascend Pipline to Dial

Off of the Main Edit Menu, goto Configure. 
From Configure, hit [control] d. You should get this screen:

 Press Ctrl-n to move cursor to the next menu item. Press return to select it.
 Press Tab to move to another window --- thick border indicates active window.

Arrow down and hit [return] on 1=Dial (or you can just hit 1).
You should see up in the top right box the Outgoing Call and the number
the router is calling which should match the Dial #= in the Configure
Menu.

That top right box should also say Call Connected or Call Terminated.
