Ascend Pipeline 130

What You Need

The Ascend Pipeline 130 router is certified to work with our Dedicated Access service. The Ascend Pipeline 130 comes with one WAN interface (with an integrated CSU/DSU), one BRI interface (with an integrated NT-1), one console port, and one Ethernet interface (with AUI or UTP media).

There is one model of the Ascend Pipeline 130 certified for Dedicated Access service. The model number is written on the bottom of the router.

  • Model P130-UBRI-FT1

You will need the following cables:

  • One RJ45 straight through cable to connect the WAN2 interface of the CSU/DSU to the Demarc. (This is included.)
  • You will also need the appropriate cable to connect the router to your local area network. If you are connecting the router to a hub, you will need a 10baseT cable. (This is NOT supplied.)
  • If you are going to connect the router directly to a workstation, you must use the provided cross-over ethernet cable.

Note:

  • The Ascend will also come with a DB9 Male to DB25 Female adapter to connect an out of band console to configure the router.
  • You will also need an RS232 serial cable to connect a vt100 terminal (or vt100 terminal emulator) as a console to do configuration and management.
