MPP Configuration

Configuring Two B Channels

This is for enabling the Pipeline 25, 50, or 100 to use both B channels when dialing out.

Make sure you are in the Main Edit Menu.

  • Select Ethernet
  • Select Connections
  • Select Net

Under Ethernet, Connections, the Net menu should look like:

---------LI00xxx EDIT----------- |20-101 | | Station=Net | | Active=Yes | | Encaps=MPP | | Dial #= | | Route IP=Yes | | Bridge=No | | Dial brdcast=N/A | |>Encaps options... | | Ip options... | | Ipx options... | | Session options... | | Telco options... | | | | | | | | |

Go under the Encaps options and make sure the values are set to the following:

------ LI00xxx EDIT ----------- ------ LI00xxx EDIT ------------- |90-101 | |90-101 | | Encaps options... | | Encaps options... | | >Send Auth=PA P ^| | >Sec History=15 | | Send PW=******* | | Add Pers=5 | | Recv PW= | | Sub Pers=10 | | Base Ch Count=2 | | Target Util=70 | | Min Ch Count=1 | | Idle Pct=0 | | Max Ch Count=2 | | MRU=1524 | | LQM=No | | LQM Min=600 | | LQM Max=600 | | Link Comp=Stac | | VJ Comp=Yes | | Dyn Alg=Linear | | Sec History=15 v| | | | |

The above values set it so that both channels will dial when you connect. If you do not use enough bandwidth to make it necessary to dial with both channels, please see the following pages:

Dynamic Allocation: Quick Increase in Bandwidth
Dynamic Allocation: Constant Increase in Bandwidth

Once you have done this, you will need to break your current connection and dial in again.

For full configuration information please see Configuring the Pipeline.
