Netmanage Chameleon 4.5 Here are the steps for rebuilding an interface within the Custom application. 1. In the Custom window, highlight the "Remote Access-PPP" name. Now choose the "Interface" option, and choose "delete". This will delete the Remote Access Interface. 2. Again, choose the "Interface" option, and now choose "add...". For the name, enter in exactly, Remote Access-PPP . For the type, enter in exactly, PPP . You should now see the name, type and IP address of 0.0.0.0 appear at the bottom of the Custom window. 3. Now choose the "Setup" option, and then choose "Domain Name...", and enter in exactly, psinet.com . 4. Now choose "Setup", then "Communications", and then choose "Port...", and you should use the following settings: baud rate: (choose the correct for your modem; for 14400 choose 19200, for 28800 choose 38400) data bits = 8 stop bits = 1 parity = none flow control = hardware connector: (choose the correct com port that your modem is connected to..) parity check: (not selected) carrier detect: (not selected) 5. Still under "Setup", and "Communications", choose "Modem...", choose the modem that best matches the device in your machine. Select the "Setup" button in the lower right of the window and us ethe following settings Modem Init: Add to the present string (if not there) &F &C1 &D2 note: the &F must go directly after the AT at the beginning of the string. 6. Now choose "Setup", then "Communications", and then choose "Dial...", and enter in the number that you'll be dialing into. Also, you may want to increase the timeout period to 90 seconds, and make sure that "Signal When Connected" and "Open Log When Connecting" are 'X'ed. 7. Under "Setup" again, select "Communications", and choose "Login...", and enter in your user name and password as you recieved it from PSI (be sure to pay close attention to upper and lower case in the password), there isn't any Startup Command. 8. Under "Setup", select "Communications", and then "script edit...", then enter script: -n 9. Under "Setup" choose "Domain Servers" and enter the following IP addresses. 38.8.219.2 38.8.220.2 10.Next, choose "File" and then "Save". You should now be able to connect and run all applications as before.
