Dialup Networking with Windows 2000Remote Access Configuration for Windows 2000 Make a New ConnectionOn this page, you will find screenshots and steps to configure Dialup Networking on a machine running Windows 2000. Windows 2000 has now made a connection wizard for this task as well, and following it is simple. Begin by clicking on the start menu, and go to Settings | Network and Dial-up Connections ![]() This will open a folder similar to the Dialup Networking folder from Win95/98. ![]() Double click Make New Connection to begin the Network Connection Wizard. Click Next to continue. ![]() Windows now asks what type of connection is being created. Select Dial-up to the Internet, then click Next to continue. ![]() This opens a new wizard, the Internet Connection Wizard. Choose the third selection to open the connection manually, then click Next to continue. ![]() On this screen, enter the phone number of the desired Point-of-Presence (POP).
