Configuring MS Exchange

  • Open Microsoft Exchange.
  • Go to the 'Tools' menu.
  • Select Services.
  • If you don't see "Internet Mail", click on Add.
  • If "Internet Mail" already exists, then click on Properties.

Highlight Internet Mail and click OK.

Enter the following information (see image below):

  • Full Name: The name which you would like to appear in the headings of your email messages.
  • Email Address: Enter the e-mail address of your mailbox.
    Example: tfxxxxx@psinet.com
  • Internet Mail Server: pop3.psinet.com
  • Account nameEnter your POP3 e-mail account name. Following the example above: tfxxxxx.
  • Password Enter your POP3 e-mail password.

Click Advanced Options. In the "Advanced Options" dialog box, fill in smtp.psinet.com. This specifies an outbound SMTP host for sending messages.

Click OK.

Under the tab labeled "Connection", fill in the following information:

  • Select Connect using the modem.
  • Select the Dial Up Networking connection which you will use to connect to the Internet.
  • Click Login As, and enter your username and password.
  • Do not use your email alias here. Use your assigned user ID and network logon password.
