Remote Access Configuration for MacIntosh

How to Configure MacTCP

Go to your Apple Menu and choose Control Panels. Double-click on the MacTCP control panel icon. When MacTCP loads you will see the following picture:

If you have a slip icon in MacTCP, you will have problems connecting. Please search your system folder for anything named slip and remove it! Make sure that the PPP icon is highlighted.

Click on the 'More ...' Button.

Set up MacTCP for server addressing by selecting Server under "Obtain Address".

Do not select dynamic or manual (static) addressing. In the case of Remote Access, the local terminal server will assign you a TCP/IP address.

You do not need to enter a gateway or IP address.

You will need to enter information under the Domain Name Server Information:

  • Under Domain enter ( . ) in the first two lines.
  • Under IP address add 38.8.219.2 and 38.8.220.2.
  • Check the default button to the right of the box.
  • Your MacTCP should now look like the picture above.

Click on the Okay button.
