Windows 3.1/3.11 Dial-Up Networking with ISDN

Download the Impact Driver for Windows 3.1/3.11

• Using your favorite search engine, query for the latest impact driver for Windows 3.1/3.11.
• Download file: impct202.exe into a temp directory.
• After download, double-click impct202.exe .
• View the upgrade.txt & readme.txt before installation.

TCP/IP Software

1. Open the Internet Valet window/group
2. Double-click on the Internet Valet icon
3. Select the FIRST icon from the Valet Palette
4. Select "Valet Setup".
5. Click Next.
6. For the Setup Option, click the down-arrow and select "Configure Program & TCP/IP".
7. Click Next | Next | Next.
8. Configure Trumpet Winsock:
   • Protocol: PAP
   • Modem: Standard V.34
   • Select the correct Connection Port
   • Click Configure.
9. Open the Main window/group
10. Double-click on the File Manager icon.
11. Go into the c:\valet\winsock directory.
12. Edit (double-click) on trumpwsk.ini file:
    • Change the slip-baudrate= line to: slip-baudrate=57600 [One B Channel]
    • Change the $modemsetup= line to: $modemsetup=AT&F S61=2 S71=1 S80=0
    • Change the $modemsetup= line to: $modemsetup=AT&F S61=2 S71=1 S80=1 [Two B Channels - MultiLink PPP]
13. Select File | Save.
14. Select File | Exit.
15. Follow the normal instructions for connecting with Trumpet Winsock.

• S61=2 Outgoing Call Type: ISDN
• S71=1 B Channel Protocol: Async-Sync PPP conversion
• S80=1 MultiLink PPP: Enabled
• S80=0 MultiLink PPP: Disabled
