Usenet News: Taking Advantage of News Services
- Decide how much news you can receive and what news groups you would like. A list of news groups is available in the newsgroups folder on:
ftp://ftp.psi.net/pub/usenet/

- Decide on what equipment you need in order to support the type of news feed you choose. See Server Software for more information.
- Decide on news software you plan to use and what software will be utilized for the clients on the local server's end. Standard server set ups are shown in Server Software.
News reader software is available in the readers directory and news server software is available in the servers directory on:

- Decide on the type of news feed reception that best suits your type of account and bandwidth. Types of News Feed Reception provides information on the different types of reception available.
- Complete the Initial Newsfeed Request Form and fax it to Usenet Support at (518) 283-8904.
