E-mail: SLmailNTDownload an evaluation copy of SLmailNT. After you have downloaded the file double click on the file in the file manager. This initiates the setup program. ![]() The Welcome window displays. After reading the welcome information, select Next to continue. The Seattle Lab Software License Agreement displays. Read the License Agreement, then select the 'I Agree' button to continue. The Choose Directory window displays. ![]() Click on OK to accept the default directory for the installation of the program. The Folder Selection window displays. ![]() Click on Next to accept the SL Products Program Folder. The SLmail Setup Wizard window displays next. ![]() Verify that the Node name is the correct name for this machine. Also verify that the IP address is correct. Click on Next to continue. ![]() Next verify that the correct name server is listed in the Name Server box. This entry should coincide with the first DNS resolver machine that you have listed in your TCP/IP configuration. Then verify the Smart Host. You may use the IP address or the fully qualified domain name for your location. Click on Next to continue. Verify Configuration SettingsFrom the Control Panel select the System tab. ![]()
To Add a User AccountAfter the initial installation in complete, go into the MS Windows NT Control Panel window. Open the SLmail control panel. Select the Users tab. ![]() Click on the Add user button.
![]() When the user type selection box displays, select User. ![]() A new_user icon now displays in the Users window. ![]() Change new_user to a user name of your choice. ![]() The Edit User window displays. ![]() Enter the password for the newly added user, then click on OK. |
