Assuming successful software installation, start by calling up the Exchange Administrator.

From Connections, choose the Internet Mail Service. Under the Internet Mail Tab, make sure an Admistrator's Mailbox has been selected.

Under the Connections tab, check the Transfer Mode, and choose to use DNS or a relay machine for outbound mail.
