DNS: Transitioning from Another Provider

The following is a brief description of the DNS transition process.

If the DNS records are freely accessible over the Internet, we will configure its name servers with a copy of the data from your current service provider.

At this point your DNS Information is on two name servers, ours and your current service providers. We will apply to the InterNIC for a name server change, making our name servers authoritative for the domain.

Once the InterNIC completes the change, Internet services can be tested without affecting the other service provider. After testing, the remaining new DNS records can be added. The old DNS records from the previous provider can be removed.
